Ya Marcus and Victor have had a lot of collaborative efforts over the years http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_juJs2hTk8k

I got interested in Victor Wooten after seeing Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81IJtxMF3Fw

Nice.

My current favorite drummers are Jo Jo Mayer, Aaron Spears, Johnny Rabb, and Gavin Harrison.

My best all-time, live music experience was seeing Wilson Pickett in a very small dive of a club (a bar and dance-floor) in Providence on a Summer night in the early Eighties I think.

It was hot (no AC) and crowded, but it was a MAGIC night. The crowd was perfect, a mix of college kids and downtown folks... a great mixed-race group of people. The band backing up Pickett was awesome... big horn section, keyboard, etc. You didn't want the night to end.

I have had a few but two that come to mind are seeing B.B. King, sitting dead center about 5 feet away from him, in a small local classic theater in Kalamazoo MI.

The second was seeing Gov't Mule in the historic Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor MI, and connecting with one of the guys that was taping it, Gov't Mule encourages bootleg recording. Well after the concert I ended up getting a highdef copy of the concert (96khz/24bit). Being able to go back and listen to the exact concert I was at is kinda cool.
